• Primary Function:\
• Responsible for supporting the implementation, operation, and
  
  

maintenance of automated manufacturing systems, with a focus on robotic

welding and fabrication processes. Ensures equipment is running

efficiently, safely, and producing quality parts.

This role works closely with engineering, production, quality assurance,

and welding teams to support automated systems and assist in deploying

new automation solutions.

Assist in the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of automated welding

equipment and processes used in the fabrication of metal components.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

• Support project manufacturing approaches by assisting in the setup
  
  

and implementation of automated equipment and robotic welding

systems.

• Participate in project planning and equipment installation phases by
  
  

assisting with equipment setup, debug, and commissioning activities.

• Interpret work instructions, prints, and customer specifications to
  
  

ensure automated processes meet production and quality requirements.

• Monitor and evaluate existing manufacturing processes and automated
  
  

systems to identify issues and support continuous improvement

efforts.

• Apply working knowledge of component design and assembly to support
  
  

proper fixturing, part alignment, and repeatability in automated

processes.

• Assist in maintaining processes and procedures to help the company
  
  

meet production goals, efficiency targets, and quality standards.

• Support the design, build, and modification of fixtures, tooling,
  
  

and mock-ups for automated welding applications.

• Assist in robot programming and program touch-ups (teach pendant or
  
  

offline software) under guidance from engineering.

• Support the setup and operation of robotic welding cells, including
  
  

loading/unloading parts, verifying program execution, and making

minor adjustments.

• Troubleshoot and repair automated equipment, including robotic
  
  

systems, welding power sources, sensors, and basic

electrical/mechanical components.

• Assist with integration and maintenance of peripheral devices such
  
  

as positioners, clamps, and basic sensor systems.

• Perform routine maintenance and support preventive maintenance
  
  

activities on automated welding equipment.

• Conduct test runs and assist with process validation, including
  
  

checking weld quality and part consistency.

• Document issues, repairs, and process changes, and communicate
  
  

findings to engineering and production teams.

• Assist in evaluating new equipment, tools, and techniques by
  
  

supporting testing and trials.

• Work with quality and engineering teams to ensure compliance with
  
  

welding procedures, standards, and inspection requirements.

• Support training of operators on automated equipment and safe
  
  

operation practices.

• Operate and maintain 3D printers, including routine calibration and
  
  

troubleshooting print issues.

• Minimum Qualifications/Experience:**\
  
  

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Manufacturing Automation or a

related role within a manufacturing or construction environment.

• Knowledge of both composite and metal 3d Printing is highly
  
  

preferred.

• Experience using slicing software and executing basic
  
  

post-processing steps.

• Familiarity with resolving common additive equipment errors and
  
  

performing preventative maintenance.

• Base understanding of welding techniques (e.g., TIG, MIG, SMAW), and
  
  

non-destructive testing ( DT) methods.

• Experience with CAD software, and other relevant engineering tools.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to
  
  

troubleshoot and resolve welding issues.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability
  
  

to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

work.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, with strong
  
  

organizational and project management skills.
