What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Recruiter position at Premier Talent Partners?
Location: 100% onsite San Francisco
Work Schedule: M-F 8- 5 PM
Compensation: $150K - $200K
The Sr. Recruiter is both strategist and doer—shaping our talent brand, leading high-value searches (from co-founders to specialized engineers), and helping portfolio founders make their most critical hires.
In this hands-on role, you'll work closely with partners and portfolio co-founders to anticipate business needs, build targeted pipelines, and drive end-to-end recruiting strategies. You'll manage searches from sourcing to close across technical and business functions, guide key stakeholders through the process, and help shape what recruiting looks like in an AI-native organization. We hope you're eager to experiment with creative approaches to attract rare talent and leverage emerging technologies to improve recruiting outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design internal company-specific recruiting strategies for attracting exceptional talent.
Run full-cycle talent searches for company portfolio companies across engineering, product, and GTM functions.
Source and engage high-caliber talent using targeted outreach, referrals, AI-powered sourcing tools, and sophisticated market mapping strategies.
Leverage AI and automation tools to enhance sourcing, outreach, talent intelligence, candidate assessment, and recruiting operations.
Drive tight hiring processes, ensuring strong calibration, fast feedback loops, and decisive outcomes to raise the hiring bar.
Track pipeline health and recruiting metrics; optimize for speed, quality, candidate experience, and close rate.
Independently test and own talent positioning and messaging, iterating rapidly based on response and engagement data.
Continuously evaluate and experiment with emerging AI recruiting technologies, helping define best practices for recruiting in an AI-native organization.
Redesign and optimize recruiting workflows through AI-driven processes and automation, improving efficiency, scalability, and hiring outcomes.
Ensure that we are constantly aware of and responsive to talent market shifts in compensation, availability, competitor movement, and emerging recruiting technologies.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
5–8 years of recruiting experience, ideally as the first recruiting lead at an early-stage startup.
Proven ability to run highly specialized, search-oriented recruiting efforts for hard-to-find, high-value roles, from early engineering hires to senior executive leadership positions.
Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and automation to improve sourcing effectiveness, candidate engagement, market mapping, recruiting operations, or hiring outcomes.
Strong talent network and credibility within engineering, product, and GTM communities.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
A "doer" mentality with the ability to translate vision into action and a strong growth mindset.
Curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging AI technologies, coupled with a willingness to challenge traditional recruiting approaches and build new, AI-enabled processes.
Experience using data and technology to drive recruiting decisions, measure impact, and continuously improve recruiting performance.
Demonstrated ability to thrive in highly iterative environments where experimentation, automation, and AI adoption are encouraged.
Builder mentality with a passion for creating scalable recruiting processes rather than simply executing established playbooks.
