JOB SUMMARY

• Manages accounts payable (AP). Includes reconciling vendor accounts, gathering, organizing, scanning, and processing company inventory and expense payables.  
• Process weekly payment selections as needed to maintain terms and cash flow needs. 
• Ensures timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers and maintains accurate records and control reports to ensure proper coding and dates.
• Develops, implements and maintains systems, procedures, and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines. 
• Work with merchandising and operations team to ensure that all company invoices are accurate and approved timely. 
• Process freight invoices, freight claims, rebates and discounts. 
• Identifies and assists with the implementation of process improvements

Professional Skills

• 2 years of accounts payable or accounting experience
• Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven experience in communicating and presenting information to executive leadership 
• Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal and external customers 
• Proven ability to produce timely and accurate results 
• Strong technical and organizational skills in addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills, in a professional environment 
• High level of analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills 
• Demonstrate solid Excel skills and functions 
• Demonstrate solid knowledge of Microsoft outlook and general PC skills
• Excellent follow-up ability with attention to detail and timeliness 
• Must be able to deal with high pressure situations and deadlines 
• Ability to handle multiple priorities 
• Some travel may be required from time to time, but unlikely

Minimum Level of Education:

High School or Equivalent, Some College preferred

Minimum Years of Experience:

2 Years
