Job Title: Chief Financial Officer ( CFO )

Classification: Full-Time, Exempt

Salary: DOE

Reports to: President

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am- 5pm (occasional evenings/weekends as needed) 

Location: In-Office (no remote), 5000 N Basin Ave., Portland, OR 97217

General Summary: The CFO is a strategic and operational finance leader responsible for the overall financial health, performance, and direction of the company. This role provides executive-level financial leadership while maintaining oversight of accounting operations.  The CFO partners closely with the leadership team to drive profitability, manage cash flow, support growth initiatives, and ensure financial discipline across the organization.  This is a hands-on executive role requiring both strategic insight and operational oversight appropriate for a mid-sized organization.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy aligned with growth objectives
  • Partner with leadership team on business planning, capital allocation, and investment decisions
  • Provide financial modeling and analysis for new initiatives, pricing strategy, and expansion opportunities

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Develop rolling forecasts and scenario planning models
  • Analyze profitability by product line, customer, and department
  • Work with Operations to create/review costing system
  • Provide variance analysis with actionable insights

Cash Flow & Capital Management

  • Oversee cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning
  • Oversee banking relationships, credit facilities, and financing strategies
  • Evaluate capital expenditures and ROI

Oversight of Accounting Operations

  • Provide leadership to accounting functions
  • Manage Month-end close, financial statement preparation and reporting
  • Review and analyze P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
  • Maintain strong internal controls and compliance
  • Oversee tax coordination with external CPA firm

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Oversee insurance programs and risk mitigation strategies
  • Monitor regulatory and tax compliance

Supervisory Responsibility: Provide leadership and oversight of the Finance and Accounting department.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA, MBA preferred)
  • 10 years of progressive financial experience, 7 years in a leadership capacity
  • Experience in $25M–$75M revenue company, preferred
  • Experience managing accounting teams
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience working directly with banks and external advisors

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
