Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager Day Shift

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to lead our team as a Unit Manager on our day shift at the Westchester Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing in Mount Vernon, New York. As a Unit Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a dedicated unit, providing exceptional care to our patients, and ensuring a positive and efficient work environment.

Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the day-to-day activities of a dedicated unit, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and services
• Supervise and mentor a team of RNs, LPNs, and caregivers, providing guidance and support to promote excellent patient outcomes
• Develop and implement unit policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies
• Collaborate with other departments, including therapy, social work, and Activities, to ensure comprehensive care and services for patients
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction surveys to identify areas for improvement and implement changes
• Demonstrate expertise in patient assessment, care planning, and documentation, as well as effective communication and conflict resolution skills
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports, including patient charts, medication administration records, and incident reports
  
  
  

Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager Requirements

• Current New York RN license
• Prior experience as a nurse, with previous management or leadership experience preferred
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
