Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the day-to-day activities of a dedicated unit, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and services
- Supervise and mentor a team of RNs, LPNs, and caregivers, providing guidance and support to promote excellent patient outcomes
- Develop and implement unit policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies
- Collaborate with other departments, including therapy, social work, and Activities, to ensure comprehensive care and services for patients
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction surveys to identify areas for improvement and implement changes
- Demonstrate expertise in patient assessment, care planning, and documentation, as well as effective communication and conflict resolution skills
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports, including patient charts, medication administration records, and incident reports
- Current New York RN license
- Prior experience as a nurse, with previous management or leadership experience preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
