Housekeeping Aides are an integral part the environmental services team that helps change the lives of our patients and residents each day. As a housekeeper you are responsible for providing a full range of care in an interdisciplinary environment including:

• Pick up, sort wash, dry and deliver residents’ personal clothing as well as facility towels, wash cloths and bed linen at the scheduled times.
• Complete minor repairs to resident clothing such as replacing buttons, repairing pant hems, or applying a patch to worn/torn clothing.
• Labeling new resident clothes.
• Removing any lint from dryers after every use.
• Notifying your supervisor of needed supplies and/or equipment repairs.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly laundry room.
• Additional responsibilities as listed in the job description and assigned by supervisor.
  
  
  

Required qualifications:

• One year of experience working as a laundry aide or housekeeper preferably in a healthcare facility.
• Attention to detail with initiative to follow through on assignments with little supervision.
• Proven ability to work well within a team as well as independently
• Excellent customer service skills along with good interpersonal and communication skills
