Activities Assistant Job Summary:

Premier Genesee, a facility located in Batavia, New York, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Activities Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. As part of our Activities Department, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents by planning and implementing a variety of recreational and social activities.

Activities Assistant Responsibilities:

• Assist in activities, such as arts and crafts, games, and outings, to promote socialization and engagement among residents
• Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff to understand their needs and preferences
• Create and maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the Activities Department
• Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop and implement resident-centered activities
• Assist with daily living tasks and provide support as needed
• Maintain accurate records of activities and participation
• Participate in departmental meetings and contributing to ongoing educational and professional development
  
  
  

Activities Assistant Requirements:

• Prior experience in healthcare or a related field preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
• Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
