Director / VP of Engineering

We're partnering with a rapidly growing technology organization seeking an experienced engineering leader to drive software development, platform modernization, and engineering excellence across multiple teams.

Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor software engineering teams across product, platform, infrastructure, and cloud initiatives
- Drive technical strategy, architecture decisions, and long-term engineering roadmaps
- Partner with Product, Security, Data, and Executive stakeholders to align technology investments with business goals
- Build scalable engineering processes focused on quality, reliability, and delivery velocity
- Champion modern software development practices, including CI/CD, automation, testing, and observability
- Support organizational growth through hiring, coaching, succession planning, and team development
- Establish engineering metrics and operational excellence across the organization
Desired Background
- 8 years of software engineering experience with progression into technical leadership
- Experience leading engineering teams in SaaS, cloud-native, enterprise software, or technology-driven environments
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud platforms, APIs, microservices, and modern software architectures
- Experience managing Engineering Managers, Staff Engineers, or senior technical leaders
- Demonstrated success scaling engineering organizations and delivering complex software initiatives
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
