JOB – Control System Engineer
LOCATION – Citrus Park, FL
TERM – Permanent
SALARY – $40 - $50 per hour Overtime (1.5x) Full Benefits
My client – a leading OEM specialising in bespoke filling and packaging technologies are looking for an experienced Control System Engineer to join their growing engineering team.
This is a multi-faceted position combining Control System Design, PLC Programming, Machine Development, Testing, Commissioning, and Customer Support.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing and programming automation solutions for custom machinery, with exposure to taking projects through the full lifecycle from concept and development through to installation and startup.
Those with previous experience working for an OEM, machine builder, packaging manufacturer, or automation integrator will be of particular interest.
The Control System Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
• BS / MS Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related discipline.
• Strong PLC programming experience using Allen-Bradley / Rockwell, Siemens, Beckhoff, or similar platforms.
• Experience developing control systems for automated machinery or production equipment.
• Knowledge of HMI development, motion control, servo systems, VFDs, and industrial communications.
• Experience reading and developing electrical schematics, control panels, and machine documentation.
• Previous experience with machine commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer-facing technical support.
• Strong understanding of full project lifecycle delivery including FAT, SAT, installation, and startup.
The Control System Engineer’s duties will involve:
• Designing and programming PLC, HMI, and motion control systems for bespoke filling and packaging machinery.
• Working closely with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams to develop complete automation solutions.
• Supporting machine build, testing, and validation prior to customer shipment.
• Travelling to customer sites to install, commission, troubleshoot, and optimise equipment.
• Providing technical support and ensuring successful customer handover.
• Identifying improvements to enhance machine performance, reliability, and efficiency.
