The Kitchen at Premier Gourmet in Amherst is seeking a Full Time Kitchen Associate to join or growing team Our ideal candidate is an experienced cook who can work in collaboration with the Kitchen Manager and Ownership to deliver exceptional food service and Customer Service all while maintaining the highest level of cleanliness and Safe Food Practices
Responsibilities
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and cooking ingredients
- Taking guests orders and preparing in a timely manner
- Follow recipes, use proper knife skills, and apply cooking techniques to ensure consistency
- Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation practices throughout the kitchen.
- Help with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations for service.
- Support catering events by preparing food items as needed.
- Ensure all food handling procedures are followed to maintain quality and safety.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction.
- Keep the kitchen area clean and organized, including washing dishes and cleaning equipment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food industry setting is preferred
- Familiarity with culinary techniques and food handling practices is a plus.
- A strong understanding of food safety regulations is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude are essential for success in this role.
