Responsibilities
- Operate POS systems efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision and integrity
- Assist customers with product inquiries, including product demos when applicable
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restocking supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with store policies regarding cashier procedures and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth store operations during shifts
Experience
- Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery or retail stores
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for cash handling and transactions
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer interaction
