Role Description The Apparel Graphic Artist is a full-time, on-site role based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for conceptualizing and designing original graphics and artwork for young men's apparel, including tees, hoodies, fleece, joggers, and related categories. Day-to-day tasks include developing seasonal graphic concepts, preparing production-ready artwork files, collaborating with merchandisers and designers on line direction, and adapting artwork to various garment types and printing techniques. The Apparel Graphic Artist will refine and edit artwork based on feedback, maintain brand and customer guidelines, manage multiple design projects on tight timelines, and support the graphics team in presenting cohesive, market-relevant collections.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in graphics and graphic arts, with the ability to create original, trend-relevant artwork for apparel.
- Strong eye for future trends in the streetwear / urban market.
- Proficiency in graphic design and logo design, including typography, composition, and branding considerations.
- Experience designing for screen printing, embroidery, and other garment decoration methods.
- Portfolio demonstrating fashion-focused apparel graphics, especially in young men’s or streetwear categories.
- Ability to interpret market trends and retailer requirements into commercially viable designs.
- Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
