Tax Managing Director

Step into a group of seasoned specialists dedicated to strengthening a top-tier tax practice. In the role of Tax Managing Director, you’ll guide key client connections, drive growth efforts, and offer direction across the team. You’ll play a part in meeting financial targets, uphold strong operational standards, and shape long-range plans that support the organization’s goals.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties:

• Demonstrate proactive client contact and be seen as a trusted business partner
• Coach team members on effective business development approaches
• Potentially oversee profit results for a specialized area
• Lead planning, marketing, and business development efforts for a defined department
• Support the team or department in meeting budget goals
• Manage billing processes and ensure timely fee collection
• Participate in administrative tasks tied to running the business unit
• Build a collaborative team environment and foster a positive culture
• Maintain quality control standards
• May serve as part of the Senior Operations Management Team
• Handle additional responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 10 years of experience in public accounting or a related field
• 10 years of supervisory experience
• Active CPA or equivalent certification
• Strong ability to manage deadlines and prioritize multiple assignments
• Proficient with relevant technology
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels
• Demonstrated integrity, client service excellence, and leadership ability
• Ability to travel based on business needs

Salary Range: $300,000 - $400,000
