Gingerbread Littleversityis a licensed childcare center seeking a School Age Teacherto support our K-5 classrooms!
To beQUALIFIEDfor the Teacher role, we require a completed bachelor's or associate's degree in early childhood or elementary education OR a completed bachelor's degree or an associate's degree with 12 credits of early/elementary childhood educationcredits or their equivalentOR an individual who is currently enrolledin a bachelorsdegree program in early/elementarychildhood education. We can consider applicants who have their early childhood credentialsand experience. The ability to pass all background checks is also required.
Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Please note the School Age Teacher will be required to drive the passenger van. Applicants must also be 21 years of age.
Compensation: $15 - $18 per hour,based on education and experience

- Responsible for the supervision of school age children and meeting the daily physical, emotional and social needs of the children in their care.
- Responsible for driving children to and from school and occasionally for classroom field trips.
- Arrange Lesson Plans and curriculum on a weekly basis in coordination with the monthly theme and that meet the developmental needs of the children and that meet the expectations of SACERS (School Age Care Environmental Rating Scales).
- Responsible for establishing a professional level of communication with each family member to provide quality care for each child. On-going communication in all aspects relating to the children in their room with the parents and the Center Director is crucial for quality care.
- Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
- Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
