Position Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Director, the Respiratory Therapist is responsible for administering therapeutic and diagnostic procedures to residents with respiratory disorders.
Education/Certification:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to fulfill each essential duty with a strong degree of professionalism. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent communication skills. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Minimum of H.S. degree or equivalent.
- Must be currently licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State of California.
- Prefer at least two years in all aspects of Respiratory Care in a Sub-Acute setting.
- Graduate from an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
- Prefer an advanced professional certificate or training.
- Prefer experience in critical care with technology dependence.
- Prefer ACLS certification.
- Must be certified in CPR.
- Must maintain current licensure in good standing during employment with this facility in accordance with the State Board.
