Respiratory Therapist - PRN

We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients of all ages, including oxygen therapy, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support. Responsibilities include setting up, monitoring, and weaning oxygen and artificial ventilation, analyzing arterial blood gases and EKGs, delivering therapies, and assisting with artificial airway management. The role involves documenting clinical information, educating patients and staff, performing diagnostic procedures, and adapting care to meet patient needs and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s preferred
• Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
• Registration with the National Board of Respiratory Care
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of hire

Additional duties include ensuring compliance with regulations, maintaining safety standards, and providing patient education. Physical demands involve lifting, bending, prolonged standing or sitting, and exposure to biohazards. Must work flexibly across various shifts and locations, with potential exposure to infectious agents and hazardous materials.
