Role: Respiratory Therapist (RT-CRT) providing respiratory care, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support for patients of all ages.
Responsibilities: Set up, monitor, and wean oxygen therapy and artificial ventilation; perform arterial blood gases and EKG analysis; deliver intermittent therapies; assist with artificial airway management; document patient information; educate patients and staff on procedures and treatment plans; perform diagnostic procedures; adapt care to patient age and needs; ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
Qualifications: Associate's Degree (Bachelor's preferred); current state license; Registered Respiratory Therapist certification; BLS certification; ACLS and PALS within 90 days of hire.
Skills & Abilities: Proficiency in computer and software applications; effective communication; strong interpersonal skills; ability to perform physical demands including lifting, bending, and prolonged standing; adaptability to a flexible schedule; knowledge of healthcare regulations.
Physical & Environmental Demands: Heavy physical effort; exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious materials; work in patient care environments; occupational risks for exposure to hazardous substances and communicable diseases.
