- Process human tissue and fluid specimens for microscopic analysis.
- Section embedded tissue using a microtome and mount on slides.
- Perform immunohistochemical tests and routine staining procedures.
- Operate and maintain manual and automated laboratory equipment, including preventive maintenance.
- Accurately record test results, document equipment logs, and follow quality control protocols.
- Associate's degree in Histology or related biological/chemical sciences.
- At least 1 year of recent histology experience or completion of a certification program.
- Ability to pass a color blindness test.
- Proficiency in computers and laboratory information systems.
- Physical ability to meet position demands and work evening shifts.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
