What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN - Per Diem/Flex position at Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services?
Role: Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process under supervision or the direction of a licensed RN, ensuring professional accountability and patient confidentiality.
Responsibilities: Coordinates patient care across departments, maintains patient rights, and adapts to various shifts and facilities. Floats between departments such as Behavioral Health, Emergency, ICU, and Medical-Surgical, across multiple locations.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, active LPN license, and recent bedside experience (minimum one year for Med Surg, two years for other specialties). Certifications include BLS; ACLS, PALS, and IV certification preferred based on department. Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, stand, walk, and perform various physical tasks.
Skills: Flexibility in scheduling, ability to adapt to last-minute shifts, and experience with Epic systems preferred. Must meet all state Board of Nursing requirements.
Key Duties: Deliver safe, effective patient care, collaborate with healthcare teams, and uphold patient rights in a flexible, incentivized PRN role with various shift options. No guaranteed hours, with responsibilities to be available on short notice and handle shift cancellations.
