- Maintain resident charts in proper sequence and thin according to facility policy
- Obtain all necessary information and paperwork for new admissions and prepare new medical charts
- Schedule resident appointments promptly and accurately
- Complete and distribute required reports in a timely manner
- File all records in the appropriate alphabetical or categorical format
- Maintain the nurses’ station — ensuring forms, files, drawers, and cabinets are organized and fully stocked
- Keep accurate records of residents’ appointments, work orders, and related documentation
- Assist the nursing team and other departments with clerical and communication needs as required
- Previous experience as a Unit Clerk, Medical Secretary, or similar administrative healthcare role preferred
- Experience in a nursing home or long-term care setting is a plus
- Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
