Job Title: Surgical First Assistant – Surgical Services
Rate: Up to $2650.00 weekly
Location: Atlanta, GA
Day Shift (12H)
13 or 26-week contract
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Graduate from an accredited surgical first assistant program.
Experience
- Requires 5 years of recent CVOR Surgical First Assistant experience.
- Cardiac, Vascular, Endovascular, Thoracic experience & CSFA, NBSTSA or NCCSA
- Proven experience as a Certified Surgical First Assistant.
Licenses/Certifications
- Current certification as a Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) in the state of employment.
- AHA BLS certification required.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the positioning, prepping, and draping of patients for surgical procedures.
- Follow established surgical techniques during the operation under the direct supervision of the surgeon.
- Ensure all equipment is properly always sterilized and maintain a sterile field.
- Provide retraction, suturing, and other technical functions during surgery.
- Perform wound management and secure drains and tubes.
- Prepare and apply dressings under the direction of the surgeon.
- Assist in the immediate postoperative care of the patient as directed by the surgeon.
- Follow established healthcare protocols and safety standards.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and respect patient’s rights.
Salary : $2,650
