We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Avionics Technician to join our Backshop Wire Harness team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in harness building, wire marking, and braiding, along with hands-on experience across various avionics systems and components. This role requires someone who can work independently and collaboratively to troubleshoot, modify, and construct complex avionics systems with precision and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and repair electrical harnesses for avionics systems, including reading and interpreting schematics and diagrams
- Utilize wire marking machines to accurately label and identify wires and cables
- Operate harness braiding machines to protect and organize wire bundles
- Work with wafer connections, including assembly, testing, and troubleshooting
- Modify and construct Gigabit Ethernet Switch (GES) systems, including troubleshooting and repair
- Perform ethernet wiring modifications and constructions, including testing and troubleshooting
- Assemble, troubleshoot, and modify circuit breaker panels and matrix assemblies
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to resolve complex technical issues
- Apply knowledge of avionics systems and components to diagnose and repair complex problems
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all work performed
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures when working with electrical systems and components
Required Experience
Candidates must have strong, demonstrable experience in:
- Harness build-up
- Soldering and crimping
- Wiring repair
