Duties
- Set up and operate fiber laser cutting machines, ensuring accurate cuts according to detailed blueprints and CAD drawings
- Program and troubleshoot CNC (Computer Numerical Control) systems, including Fanuc controls, to optimize machine performance
- Read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and manufacturing specifications to produce precise parts
- Perform routine maintenance on laser equipment and associated tooling to maintain optimal functionality
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to verify dimensions and ensure product quality
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment, preparing raw materials for processing
- Collaborate with team members on assembly line tasks, fabrication projects, and packaging processes to meet production goals
Requirements
- Proven, three year experience operating fiber laser cutting machines in a manufacturing or factory environment
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming, CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) programming, and CNC milling or lathe machines
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawing interpretation
- Ability to use hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and basic math skills for quality checks and adjustments
- Experience with tooling setup, fabrication techniques including welding and press brake operations is a plus
- Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of stamping presses, CNC controls like Fanuc or similar systems, and CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts for materials handling is preferred
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with factory safety protocols is advantageous
