We are seeking a licensed New York Compounding Pharmacist to support veterinary compounding operations and serve as backup to the Pharmacist in Charge.
This is a hands-on role requiring active participation in non-sterile compounding, prescription verification, and regulatory compliance within a structured production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee non-sterile compounding operations of veterinary medications in accordance with USP <795> and <800> and internal SOPs
- Verify veterinary prescriptions for accuracy, dosing, and labeling compliance
- Maintain strong working knowledge of USP <795> and <800> standards
- Review and maintain batch records and compounding documentation
- Provide operational coverage for the Pharmacist in Charge when required
- Supervise technicians in workflow execution and quality control
- Ensure compliance with New York State Board of Pharmacy regulations
Required Qualifications
- Active New York Pharmacist license in good standing
- Strong working knowledge of USP <795> and <800> standards
- Experience in non-sterile compounding OR veterinary pharmacy practice
- Experience working in a regulated, compliance-driven pharmacy environment
- Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline
Preferred Qualifications
- Veterinary compounding experience
- Experience with species-specific dosing or customized formulations
- Experience in production-oriented compounding settings
- Familiarity with sterile compounding standards (USP <797>)
Salary
$55.00 - $65.00 per hour
