We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Helper to join our dynamic logistics team. Duties
- Assist with loading and unloading shipments using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and cranes while following safety regulations.
- Support inventory control activities by conducting stock counts, updating inventory management software, and maintaining accurate records through warehouse management systems like AS400.
- Prepare orders by picking, packing, and verifying items using RF scanners and order picker tools to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
- Organize materials and products efficiently within the warehouse, ensuring proper stocking and placement for easy access.
- Operate heavy equipment safely for material handling tasks, including load & unload operations and construction-related activities if applicable.
- Follow safety protocols diligently by using personal protective equipment (PPE), adhering to OSHA standards, and participating in safety training sessions.
- Assist with shipping & receiving processes by coordinating the movement of goods in accordance with logistics schedules and documentation requirements.
Experience
- Prior warehouse experience or related manufacturing background is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Demonstrated ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, cranes, and other heavy machinery safely.
- Familiarity with inventory management software, RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or AS400 is advantageous.
- Basic math skills for counting, measurements, and data entry are essential for accurate inventory control.
- Experience with materials handling techniques including manual handling, packaging, order picking & packing, shipping & receiving is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of safety regulations such as OSHA standards and proper PPE use ensures a safe working environment.
- Mechanical knowledge or construction experience can be beneficial for operating specialized equipment or performing maintenance tasks.
