Responsibilities
- Assist with inventory control by accurately stocking, picking, packing, and organizing products using RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely to load and unload shipments.
- Support shipping and receiving activities by preparing orders for dispatch and verifying inbound deliveries against shipping documents.
- Participate in warehouse distribution tasks including load & unload operations, materials handling, and order fulfillment to meet daily targets.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to OSHA standards and mechanical safety protocols during heavy equipment operation.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure efficient stock rotation, inventory management, and accurate record keeping using AS400 or other warehouse management tools.
- Assist in packaging products securely for shipment while ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Requirements
- Prior experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in inventory management, stocking, order picking & packing, and shipping & receiving.
- Valid certification or experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers.
- Mechanical knowledge or construction background is a plus for understanding equipment maintenance and safety procedures.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and long periods of standing or walking throughout shifts.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use.
- Experience with warehouse management systems like AS400 or similar platforms for inventory control and order processing.
- Excellent attention to detail for accurate inventory tracking using RF scanners and other digital tools.
