General Summary:
- The Coil Crate Builder is responsible for building crates according to the blueprint to get ready to be shipped out.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identify and prioritize what work is to be performed using SAP
- Retrieve cut sheets for building crates
- Cut wood according to dimensions on cut sheets
- Assemble crates
- Place coils in crates ensuring quality and stability of the coil
- Measure and weigh crates for shipping purposes
- Stage coil for shipment
- Place crated coils on the truck for shipment
- Track in-process coils to see what might need crates
Job Qualifications:
- Forklift experience preferred (will certify in-house)
- Power tool experience is preferred (saws, nail guns)
- Blueprint reading skills
- The ability to understand and convert decimals and fractions
- Detailed oriented
- Able to work independently
- Computer skill
- Good communication skills
Salary : $19 - $20
