Shop Manager

Precision Air is hiring an experienced Shop Manager to lead operations at their Georgetown, SC location. This position supports a FAA Part 145 Repair Station and requires a strong combination of technical expertise, leadership, and administrative skills. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in general aviation maintenance, proven ability to supervise, and organizations skills necessary to manage shop operations and compliance.

Qualifications:

• Experience in General Aviation:15 years of experience in general aviation, indicating a well-rounded understanding of aircraft operations, maintenance, and safety protocols.
• Certification and License with Inspection Authorization: Required for performing inspections, repairs, and maintaining airworthiness.
• Repair Station Background: Minimum of 5 years working in a Part 145 Repair Station environment, which involves working with various regulatory and safety standards in the aviation industry.
• Paperwork and Administrative Skills: Capable of performing administrative duties such as:
• • • Spreadsheets (tracking repairs, inventory, and aircraft status).
    • Reviewing work orders to ensure compliance with repair processes.
    • Conducting logbook entries for maintenance and inspections.
    • Researching aircraft data and parts.
• Hands-On Technical Skills: Able to work on the shop floor, performing technical tasks in addition to managing. Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to solve technical problems on a variety of aircraft.

• Supervisory Experience: 5 years of supervisory experience in general aviation, indicating the ability to manage a team, assign tasks, and ensure adherence to safety and operational standards.
• Aircraft Systems Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of troubleshooting systems on aircraft, including:
  • • Reciprocating engines. (Primary Focus)
    • Turboprops.
    • Jets.
• Teamwork and Work Ethic: Strong team player with a positive work ethic and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
