Systems Engineer I Elgin, IL (Onsite)
We re hiring a Systems Engineer I to join a growing team supporting system design, staging, configuration, and customer demonstrations. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career engineers looking to build hands-on experience across systems, networking, and customer-facing work.
What You ll Do
- Participate in system-level design and requirements gathering
- Stage, configure, and test systems (network, servers, computers)
- Support customer demonstrations and field teams
- Upgrade and enhance existing system designs
- Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot system issues
- Work with cross-functional teams (engineering, field, project managers)
What You Bring
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 1 3 years of experience (or strong internships/projects for new grads)
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Ethernet)
- Experience with servers, virtualization (VMware), and Linux/UNIX
- Familiarity with system engineering and requirements management
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with non-technical stakeholders
- CCNA or Network certification
- Exposure to video technologies and standards
