Prairie Band Health Service is seeking an Optometrist to provide exceptional healthcare services at Zuni Comprehensive Community Health Center (ZCCHC) Optometry Clinic at 21B Avenue Zuni, New Mexico 87327

Details:
- Monday through Friday
- Great Staff and Location
- Local or Locums welcomed to apply
Hours of Operation: normal clinic hours and shifts, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday except Federal holidays
Duties:
- Perform comprehensive medical eye examinations in an outpatient setting
- Diagnose and manage optometric and ocular medical conditions
- Conduct mandated screenings, including diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma evaluations
- Provide emergency eye care services within scope of licensure and privileges
- Prescribe corrective lenses, contact lenses, visual aids, and therapeutic pharmaceutical agents
- Order laboratory, diagnostic, and radiologic studies as clinically indicated

Requirements:
- A Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution
- A current, valid, unrestricted license to practice optometry in a U.S. State or territory
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Required immunizations and tuberculosis screening documentation

Prairie Band, LLC is subject to Title 22: Employment Code of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation. In accordance with Title 22, this position is designated as a TIER 2 position. Preference will be given to individuals to the extent required pursuant to Section 22-2-4(B).
