Purpose
A Human Resources Manager job in Ashtabula, OH is currently available through PRADCO. As the Human Resources Manager, you will develop, evaluate, and implement effective human resource management policies, procedures, and programs covering all phases of associate relations ensuring that there is an environment of open and honest communication and mutual cooperation and respect at our client organization.
Essential Functions
- Align HR programs and activities to support overall organizational strategy
- Provides full range of day-to day-HR support for the company including staffing, employee relations, performance management, organizational development, benefits, compensation and training & development
- Serve as the point of contact for agency responses from ODJFS, EEOC, BWC, etc.
- Administrator of HRIS to include management of time, open enrollment, benefit enrollment, new hire, termination and all temp employee activities. Able to scale programs as required.
- Maintain and update compensation program including merit increases, promotions, demotions, etc., aligned to regional market forces.
- All onboarding activities including General Safety training, ADP set-up, etc.
- Maintaining a funnel and employment of a candidate pool and employee selection in support of our EEOC, DEI, and OFCCP programs.
- Report out EEOC data annually.
- Create and deliver selected training in support of safety, security, and/or performance management/improvement.
- Develops appropriate human resource plans in support of key business needs in a dynamic environment
- Conducts annual reviews of organizational design and talent
- Consults with leadership in aligning performance management and reward recommendations
- Implements and monitors adherence to all organization-specific Human Resource-related policies, procedures and practices.
- Responsible for making sure the company is in compliance with all state and federal employment laws including FMLA, EEOC, Wage & Hour, etc. Must bring issues of non-compliance to leadership to address immediately.
- Advises senior leadership concerning HR matters, recommend programs, activities, goals, and procedural changes as required
- Provides the appropriate staffing levels either through third parties or directly to meet manpower requirements, for both hourly and salaried personnel
- Promotes positive relations between the Company and the community to drive good corporate citizenship. Activities include job fairs, receiving visitors, setting up breakfast meeting, participating in community and charity events.
- Identifies communication needs and implements programs to ensure that an effective communication program is carried out
- Works cohesively with all functional organizations (at all levels) to deliver expected results consistently
- Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field required.
- At least ten years of experience in Human Resources, two years of managing others required.
