SERVICE SUPPORT SPECIALIST
A Service Support Specialist is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth functioning of our services provided in the hospital and medical setting. This is a very diverse position where you'll progressively learn and greatly contribute to our success, while working with a hard working and very helpful team.
This position is Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4pm, with a starting pay rate of $22.00 per hour.
JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- PROCESS DUPLICATING REQUESTS FROM START TO FINISH
- MAIL STAMP AND SORT ASSIST
- ASSIST WITH PRINTING PATIENT LETTERS AND PROCESSING THEM THROUGH AN INSERTER/FOLDER
- FULFILL KEY CARD, VALIDATION, PERMIT REQUESTS
- LAB SPECIMEN PICKUP AND DELIVERY
- AUDIT COURIER MEDICAL SPECIMEN LOGS, DEPOSIT LOGS, AND SUPPLY ORDERS FOR ACCURACY AND THOROUGHNESS
- AUDIT SAFETY PATROL SCANS
- ASSIST WITH ONBOARDING NEW HIRES
- RECORD ACCOUNT REVENUE INTO AN EXCEL SPREADSHEET
- MAINTAIN UNIFORM INVENTORY
- MAINTAIN SUPPLIES AND ORDER AS NEEDED
- CROSS TRAIN ON ALL COURIER ROUTES TO SERVE AS A BACKUP, AS NEEDED
- OTHER SUPPORT FUNCTIONS, AS THE NEED ARISES
JOB ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a valid California driver’s license
- Must be able to meet the following MVR guidelines: No “Major” violations within a 3 year period (DUI, speeding over 21 mph, driving without a license, etc. No more than one “Minor” violation in a 3 year period
- Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain organized and accurately completed records.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Both written and verbal, for effective communication with co-workers, manager’s, and clients.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in all tasks, from data entry to checks and balances of processes and systems.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using computer systems, software and other relevant technologies.
- Customer Service Orientation: Providing helpful and efficient support to team members, client and staff, and management.
- Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to adjust to changing priorities and work in a dynamic environment.
- Sense of Urgency: Must have a strong sense of urgency and realize that time is of the essence and use it efficiently to complete your work and the tasks at hand, quickly and timely.
- Integrity: This position requires a high level of integrity and a proven history of such, as you will be exposed to sensitive and proprietary data and information.
