Position Overview
Powerus is seeking Embedded Software Engineers to support the development and deployment of next-generation autonomous systems and operational platforms.
This role focuses on practical software development tied directly to deployed hardware systems, onboard compute environments, sensors, autonomy stacks, and mission-critical operational capability.
We are looking for engineers who enjoy building reliable systems that operate in demanding real-world conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop embedded software for autonomous systems and operational hardware
- Support sensor integration, onboard compute systems, communications, and payload interfaces
- Work closely with hardware and systems engineering teams during development and testing
- Optimize software performance, reliability, and operational stability
- Support field testing, troubleshooting, and deployment activities
- Assist with autonomy integration and mission system development
- Contribute to rapid prototyping and iterative engineering cycles
Qualifications
- Strong embedded software development experience
- Experience with C/C , Linux-based embedded systems, and real-time environments
- Familiarity with autonomy platforms, robotics, UAV systems, or edge compute environments preferred
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting capability
- Comfortable working closely with hardware teams
- Practical engineering mindset with strong execution focus
- Experience operating in fast-paced engineering environments preferred
