Job Summary
Powell's Towing & Recovery is seeking a dependable, motivated, and customer-focused Tow Truck Driver to join our growing team. This position involves responding to emergency roadside assistance calls, towing disabled or damaged vehicles, accident recovery, winch-outs, lockouts, tire changes, jump starts, and transporting vehicles safely and professionally. Drivers represent our company on every call and must provide exceptional customer service while operating safely and efficiently. This job is a % paid job so the harder you push the more you can make, so you are not capped at a certain amount.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate rollback and wheel-lift tow trucks
- Respond promptly to dispatch calls 24/7 (scheduled shifts and on-call rotations)
- Perform vehicle recoveries, winch-outs, and accident scene towing
- Assist motorists with:
- Jump starts
- Lockouts
- Tire changes
- Fuel delivery
- Secure vehicles properly for transport
- Complete digital paperwork, invoices, and photos
- Maintain clean trucks and equipment
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance
- Communicate professionally with customers, law enforcement, insurance companies, and dispatch
- Follow all DOT and company safety procedures
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina Driver's License
- Clean driving record
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating on-call schedules
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs and work in all weather conditions
- Experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate!!
Preferred Experience
- Towing or recovery experience
- Rollback or wheel-lift operation
- Commercial driving
- Customer service experience

Pay: $75.00 - $120.00 per day
