Job Summary
The Safety Manager / Director is responsible for the overall strategy, leadership, and integrity of safety management and compliance initiatives. This role drives regulatory compliance and continuous improvement in safety performance through strong leadership, communication, training, and data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, programs, and procedures aligned with OSHA regulations and corporate standards.
- Lead plant-wide safety initiatives, audits, and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance across all worksites.
- Manage OSHA 300 logs, regulatory correspondence, incident reporting, and customer or regulatory audits.
- Investigate accidents, near misses, and injuries; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Oversee and support employee safety training programs; coordinate with external training vendors as needed.
- Advise and partner with executive leadership on safety strategy, risk exposure, and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Promote a strong safety culture through employee engagement, communication, and leadership presence on the plant floor.
- Participate in and lead safety committees, crisis management efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 5 years of safety experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and Confined Space requirements
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations
Additional Information
- Occasional travel between facilities and for training or conferences
- PPE required on production floor
- Participation in safety committees and leadership meetings

Final compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, internal equity, and business needs.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
