Duties
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on packaging machinery to maximize uptime and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electricians’ tools like ammeters and ohmmeters, and precision measuring instruments to diagnose problems accurately.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Conduct welding (including
welding), hydraulic repairs, and electrical work on machinery components following safety standards. - Operate field service equipment such as scissor lifts and ensure compliance with safety protocols including high voltage and low voltage procedures.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize equipment performance and support technical sales initiatives when needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing facility environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in industrial mechanics, welding (
welding preferred), hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, and electrical troubleshooting. - Hands-on experience working with schematics, control systems (including PLCs), and maintenance documentation.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Familiarity with CMMS platforms for maintenance tracking; analysis skills for diagnosing complex issues.
- Knowledge of high voltage systems, low voltage wiring, ammeters, ohmmeters, and precision measuring instruments.
- Experience working with industrial electricians or in field service roles is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English across diverse teams.
- Additional qualifications include industrial electrician experience, HVAC certification (HVAC/R), military technical training or experience, and the ability to operate scissor lifts safely.
