Port View Preparatory is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant. Under the guidance and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA will help design and deliver engaging therapeutic programs that empower students with diverse needs to thrive in their educational environments.Benefits include:Paid Time OffMedical, Dental & Vision InsuranceLife InsuranceSupportive, collaborative team environmentOpportunities for professional growth within the school settingWhat You'll DoAs a valued member of the educational support team, you will:Partner with the supervising Occupational Therapist to plan and implement meaningful, student-centered intervention programs.Support students' IEP goals by providing accommodations and strategies aligned with OT recommendations.Train teachers and staff to ensure carryover of therapeutic techniques in the classroom.Collaborate closely with educators, families, and specialists to promote student success.Participate in team meetings to help shape supportive learning environments.Assist with instructional support and pre-referral activities (non-evaluative).Create and adapt materials to enhance student participation and independence.Contribute to progress reporting and documentation in coordination with your supervising OT.Deliver individual, group, and consultative interventions across school settings.Help manage caseload responsibilities consistent with district and OT department standards.What We're Looking For1-4 years of experience as a COTA (school-based experience preferred)A collaborative spirit and passion for supporting students with diverse needsStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsCommitment to fostering inclusive and engaging learning environments
