What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Principal-Port Neches-Groves High School position at Port Neches-Groves ISD?
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Master’s Degree
Experience: Three years successful classroom teaching experience
Licenses/Other: Valid Texas Teacher Certificate with Mid-Management or Principal certification. Certified Instructional Leadership Training and appraiser in Texas Teacher Appraisal System and/or PDAS preferred, or such alternatives as may be acceptable to the district.
Provide students with appropriate instruction to help fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.
ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES:
- Assumes responsibility for proper student conduct and maintenance of student discipline
- Serve as a campus appraiser for teacher appraisal system
- Assists with extracurricular activities
- Assists with development of curriculum and improvement of instructional program as directed by principal
- Continues professional growth, seeking opportunities to expand educational competencies. Other duties as may be assigned
