A&P Helicopter Mechanic

Port City Air (PCA) is located on the Pease Tradeport in Portsmouth, NH. We are a full service 24/7 fixed base operator (FBO) and multi-faceted aviation services company, offering a variety of services for many different size aircrafts such as maintenance, fueling, cleaning and more!  We are seeking a full-time, experienced A&P Helicopter Mechanic under a part 145 Repair Station.

POSITION SCOPE

The A&P Helicopter Mechanic is responsible for inspection, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with the Port City Air repair station manual, manufacturer’s manuals, and FAA regulations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•         Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs of helicopters (airframe, engine, and components)
•         Perform Inspections and maintenance on GA aircraft, corporate aircraft, and occasional line maintenance on Airbus, Boeing, MD, etc. airliners as required
•         Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

•         Valid and current Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
•       At least three-five (3-5) years of prior experience.
•         Ability to lead and complete assigned projects with minimal supervision.
•         Prior helicopter experience, preferably with one or more of the following makes: Airbus Helicopters/Eurocopter, Leonardo Helicopters/Agusta, MD Helicopters, Bell, Robinson
•         Factory schooling, prior helicopter, corporate, or GA experience preferred.
•         High level attention to detail.
•         Ability to understand and interpret aircraft technical data.
•         Ability to achieve established goals by working with others as part of a team, including working with/in other departments (Reciprocating, Turbine, and Avionics) as manpower requires.
•         Excellent written and verbal communication.
•         Valid Driver’s License.
•         Reliable transportation.
•       Must pass the FAA and Homeland Security background checks as well as complete a pre-employment drug screening.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be physically capable of ascending/descending a ladder
• Must be physically capable of maneuvering into tight spots/positions
• Must be physically capable of lifting 50 lbs
