Overview

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer (L3) to join a high-performing infrastructure team supporting a complex enterprise environment in Milwaukee. This is a hands-on, onsite role ideal for a seasoned engineer who thrives in troubleshooting, optimization, and real-time network operations. You will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of the organization’s core network infrastructure while partnering across technical teams to deliver reliable, business-critical connectivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise-grade routers and switches
• Provide L3 escalation support for network incidents, outages, and performance issues
• Execute network changes, upgrades, and migrations in alignment with change control processes
• Monitor network performance and proactively identify optimization opportunities
• Support and troubleshoot:
• Routing protocols (BGP)
• VLANs, STP, QoS, and trunking
• Collaborate with security, server, and application teams to resolve cross-functional issues
• Maintain accurate network documentation, including diagrams and configurations
• Deliver hands-on onsite support including:
• Hardware replacements
• Cabling and connectivity troubleshooting
• Physical infrastructure support

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience with Cisco (or equivalent enterprise networking platforms)
• Deep expertise in Layer 2 / Layer 3 networking concepts
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network issues independently
• Experience supporting production enterprise environments
• Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and structured change management processes
