We are seeking a Senior Audio Visual Support Specialist to support and maintain audio visual (AV) and digital collaboration technologies at client locations. This role is responsible for ensuring conference rooms, meeting spaces, and events operate seamlessly by providing technical support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and user training. The ideal candidate has strong experience supporting enterprise AV systems, video conferencing technologies, and collaboration platforms, along with excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
We are seeking a Senior Audio Visual Support Specialist to support and maintain audio visual (AV) and digital collaboration technologies at client locations. This role is responsible for ensuring conference rooms, meeting spaces, and events operate seamlessly by providing technical support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and user training.
Responsibilities
- Support, maintain, and troubleshoot AV and video conferencing systems, including Microsoft Surface Hub, Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR), Poly, and Crestron technologies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for meeting and event technology support, ensuring a high-quality end-user experience.
- Provide on-site support for executive meetings, conferences, and special events.
- Configure, test, and troubleshoot conference room and event space AV equipment.
- Document AV system configurations, equipment inventories, maintenance activities, and service requests.
- Partner with IT teams, network services, facilities, and third-party vendors to deploy, maintain, and support AV solutions.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues related to AV and collaboration technologies.
- Perform preventive maintenance and coordinate upgrades for AV hardware and software.
- Deliver training and guidance to end users on video conferencing and collaboration tools.
- Support room scheduling displays, digital signage, confidence monitors, and content distribution systems.
- Assist with new construction, office expansions, and AV installations by interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Participate in event planning and provide day-of technical support across multiple locations and venues.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (6 years of relevant experience accepted in lieu of degree).
- Experience supporting enterprise audiovisual systems and collaboration technologies.
- Hands-on experience with network switches, routers, cabling, relays, and AV transmission systems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft, iOS, and Android operating systems.
- Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues and implementing effective solutions.
- Strong communication, documentation, and customer support skills.
Preferred
- CTS certification or other AV industry certifications.
Experience with:
- Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR)
- Microsoft Surface Hub
- Poly video conferencing solutions (Group Series and X Series)
- Crestron technologies
- Teams, Zoom, and Webex
- Knowledge of H.323 and SIP protocols.
- Experience with wireless networking technologies, including IEEE 802.11ac and 802.11ax standards.
- Networking certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Network , CWNA, or CWSP.
