All applicants must be available for an on-site interview at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie, HI. Please note that the Polynesian Cultural Center will not provide relocation or travel expense reimbursements related to this application or hiring process.
Provides interesting and exciting cultural demonstrations and lectures to all guests.
Essential Functions:
- Provides cultural information through demonstrations and lectures, and teaches songs, dances, crafts, games and cultural phrases to guests.
- Creates, maintains and/or does repairs of moderate difficulty on cultural artifacts, buildings, and props using a variety of equipment and materials.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the manager.
Requirements
- In good health, able to stand long hours, having a full range of body movement and have a voice that can endure up to four hours of speaking in any given time frame.
- Able to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds on a daily basis.
- Able to speak, read and write in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school graduate with one year of work experience in dealing with the general public.
