Production Supervisor - 1st Shift About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead shift operations and drive performance on the production floor. In this role, you’ll oversee day-to-day manufacturing activities, ensure safety and quality standards are met, and support a team of operators to achieve production goals. You’ll serve as a key frontline leader, helping keep operations running efficiently while addressing real-time challenges.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage a team of production operators during assigned shifts
- Oversee daily production line operations to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals
- Train, coach, and motivate employees to ensure strong performance and adherence to standards
- Manage scheduling, attendance, and timecard approvals
- Partner with HR and plant leadership on hiring, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Conduct initial investigations for safety incidents (RCCA) and implement corrective actions
- Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards
- Coordinate manpower and production planning to meet customer demand and shipment timelines
- Track and report production metrics (output, hours worked, key issues)
- Communicate production updates, challenges, and solutions during daily meetings
- Collaborate cross-functionally with plant and corporate teams to support operations
- Lead or participate in special projects as assigned
- Provide after-hours support as needed based on business demands
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of experience in a supervisor role preferably in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to work shift schedules onsite
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Experience with PowerPoint is a plus
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in both office and manufacturing settings
- Ability to:
- Stand for extended periods (8–12 hours)
- Lift up to 120 lbs
- Climb stairs regularly and ladders as needed
- Maintain visual acuity (including color perception) and good hearing
