At Polk PCC, the Receptionist is the initial point of contact for visitors and telephone calls. The position is responsible to screen and greet all visitors, along with answering and routing phone calls. Additional administrative duties may be assigned as appropriate.
Qualifications and Requirements.
- Acceptable criminal background check;
- Valid driver's license and;
- Proficiency in the English language.
General Responsibilities.
Demonstrate good personal hygiene in dress and appearance;
Engage with residents, family members, visitors, and coworkers;
Be respectful and courteous to residents and families and place priority on their individual needs and requests;
Partner with co-workers to provide the highest standard of customer service to residents;
Protect the privacy and confidentiality of resident and Foundation information at all times;
Read memos and reports to stay current with facility happenings and evolving responsibilities;
Attend mandatory in-services, trainings, and meetings;
Participate in fire drills and effectively execute the fire and disaster plan;
Identify opportunities for performance improvement and participate in performance improvement activities as needed;
Adhere to facility policies and procedures.
Job – Specific Responsibilities.
Present a welcoming attitude to visitors, residents, and staff; be kind, courteous, and pleasant at all times;
Maintain a consistent presence at the reception area to receive calls and visitors;
Screen visitors in accordance with facility security guidelines;
Greet and direct visitors;
Answer telephone and prioritize and route calls appropriately;
Accept deliveries and route appropriately;
Provide med room support by managing and meeting caller needs as appropriate;
Maintain a neat and organized work area;
Provide direct support to the administrative staff daily as needed and directed;
