Position Highlights Location: Multiple school districts throughout Washington Position: Special Education Teacher Schedule: Full-time and part-time opportunities available Setting: In-person, school-based School Year: 2026–2027 Grade Levels: Preschool through High School (varies by assignment) Responsibilities Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs Deliver differentiated instruction aligned with student goals and state standards Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and professional collaboration Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies, accommodations, and assistive technology as appropriate Support students' academic, behavioral, social, and functional development Qualifications Valid Washington State Special Education teaching certificate (or eligibility to obtain one) Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills School-based experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply Commitment to creating equitable, student-centered learning environments Why Join Ampersand Therapy?
