Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to support preschool students at an Early Learning Center in Spanaway, Washington. The teacher will provide specialized instruction and support to young learners with diverse developmental and educational needs.
- Develop and implement individualized instruction and learning activities for preschool students with special needs.
- Support students’ academic, developmental, behavioral, communication, and social-emotional growth.
- Implement IEP goals and provide appropriate accommodations and modifications.
- Collaborate with related service providers, school staff, families, and other education professionals.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Participate in IEP meetings and other student-support activities as needed.
- Valid Washington State Special Education (SPED) certification/license required.
- Experience working with preschool-aged students or students with disabilities preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom-management skills.
- Passion for supporting the development and success of young learners.
- Full-time school-based position
- 37.5 hours per week
