Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and creative Dance Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore their artistic talents and foster a love for the performing arts and movement.
Dates: July 13-31, 2026
Hours: 8:30AM-12:00PM
Where: Point Loma Community Presbyterian Church

San Diego, CA 92107
Who: Grades K-8
Class size: 10-20 students
Class time: One hour per day (9:30am-10:30am)
MORNING ARTS THEME: Time of the Seasons
Salary: $1,450 - $1,700 total for all 3 weeks, includes one late night on July 31st, set up prior to camp and tear down after
Dance /P.E. Teacher
- Develop and implement dance curriculum that aligns with our theme
- Choreograph dance moves to accompany song selection at final night singing performance
- Include instruction on age-appropriate professional dance techniques
- Encourage creativity and self-expression through dance
- Include activities based on organic movement and fitness
- Supervise and coordinate with TAs
- Assist with greeting parents every morning from 8:45AM-9AM
- Attend music class from 9-9:30AM to become familiar with song selections
- Maintain classroom cleanliness and guidelines
- Help supervise snack/assist with child care if needed/flexibility with role
- Attend staff meeting each Friday from noon-12:30pm
- Help prepare Final Night art show on July 31st, 2026 (all day)
- Attend final night music production on July 31st, 2026, 5-8pm
- Attend set-up (July 10 & 11)
- Attend tear-down (August 1st)

Ability to commute/relocate:
- San Diego, CA 92107: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Experience:
- Teaching Dance or P.E. : 3 years (Preferred)

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Dance, Education, or related field
- Previous experience teaching dance/PE to students of varying ages
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey artistic concepts
- Knowledge of different dance styles and techniques
- Ability to engage and motivate students in the learning process
