PMCO is hiring a Warehouse Manufacturing Supervisor in the packaging industry in Cheraw, SC!
Salary: $80,000–$90,000 bonus
Shift: Day Shift
Location: Cheraw, SC
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise receiving, warehouse, and distribution operations by implementing and enforcing company policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping regulations.
- Monitor and maintain warehouse security procedures to safeguard operations and contents.
- Manage inventory levels by conducting regular physical counts and reconciling with data storage systems.
- Oversee the physical condition of the warehouse, including layout planning, equipment inspections, and coordinating repairs or replacements.
- Lead a team of 20 direct reports across 4 shifts, focusing on optimizing safety, quality, productivity, and minimizing spoilage.
- Provide coaching, counseling, and performance management to warehouse staff.
- Facilitate clear communication across departments and shifts regarding production schedules, equipment issues, and shipping updates.
- Conduct on-the-job training and mentorship to support employee development.
- Support production control tasks and act as the primary backup to the Production Control Manager.
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 5–7 years of experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment
- 2–4 years of supervisory experience in shipping and warehouse operations
- Strong knowledge of warehouse processes, equipment, and safety procedures
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
- Experience with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles (preferred)
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving ability and mechanical aptitude
