Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance to meet their needs
- Educate customers on various cannabis products, including strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits of new or popular items
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for retail sales transactions and cash handling
- Upsell products by recommending complementary items to enhance customer satisfaction
- Manage stock levels through stocking, merchandising, and inventory management
- Maintain a clean, organized store environment that adheres to safety and compliance standards
- Handle cash register operations accurately, including cash drawer handling and retail math calculations
Requirements
- Previous retail sales or customer service experience preferred; supervisory experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail transaction procedures
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain product details clearly and confidently
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and basic math skills for transactions
- Excellent phone etiquette for answering inquiries professionally
- Ability to perform cashiering duties accurately while maintaining a positive attitude
- Passion for the industry with a desire to learn about cannabis products and regulations
- Must be 21 years of age or older (or as per local legal requirements)
