Housekeeper

Sterling Court Assisted Living is looking for a congenial, professional, hard-working, and reliable individual to fill our available Part Time Housekeeper position.

JOB SUMMARY:

Housekeeping staff is to keep the building’s interior clean and sanitary. This includes, but is not limited to, cleaning the main entry way, common areas, hallways, and resident’s apartments.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Vacuum, dust and spot clean all common areas, hallways and patios with special attention to the main entry area.
• Deep clean apartments and the rest of the community as needed.
• Follow proper methods while utilizing and storing approved chemicals.
• Clean all linens, resident clothing and other items when necessary by washing and drying.
• Maintain work area in a neat clean condition
• Report any unsafe hazardous condition to your Director immediately.
• Attend all mandatory in-services and meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS/SPECIFICATIONS:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Enjoy housekeeping/ laundry tasks.
• Ability to adapt to changes productively and handle additional tasks/projects as assigned.
• Ability to speak, write and understand English.
• Ability to maintain confidentially of Residents and community information.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High School graduate or equivalent GED;
• Maintain current First Aid certification
• Experience is a plus
